Not Much To Report

it was a non eventful evening. i had and still have a headache. the Holter monitor did not prevent me from sleeping. i did not sleep through the night, but it was much better then the melting helmet sensation from the night before.

i just removed the Holter monitor. it is nice not having anything connected to my chest. i am still tired and am winded easily. all in all, i am a lucky person.

i expect to log in some serious hours watching basketball tonight. my appetite is ferocious. i cannot stop eating. i want to blame it on the medication, but i think it is just the way i am. :)

i hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day. i want to live vicariously through you all.

Thanks for the updates! You've been in our thoughts constantly. Unfortunately, you can't enjoy the weather through me - today was the CLA Open House and we spent the entire day inside on campus. :( We had a great group of incoming MLK students and a TON of interest in the SEAM program. They wanted to know why we didn't have any SEAM brochures. :) I wanted to tell them it was WAY too early to talk about that...but I held my tongue. Take care!!!

So glad that you didn't have the helmet-o'-pain again.

Enjoy the hoops.

Hey, when you feel like surfing, here's the latest on the Africa project: www.positivechange.com.

Ok, so I have a face for radio... :)

Take care my friend.

Hi Patrick,

We are thinking of you and wishing you well! I am so happy you are at home and getting better! I just showed Solomon the photos you posted...let me tell you the boy has asked about 100 questions about you, and continues to pray for you each night!

Take good care!

Happy Sunday!

Glad the helmet o'pain has gone away. A ferocious appetite is good. Any favorite foods right now?

The weather is beautiful! Minnesotans ar so grateful for sunshine and 55 degrees.

Hoping that each day gets better for you.

I miss you at work.

Hey Patrick,

Man, what you are going through sounds just incredibly hard, and yet you are handling it so well. I am pretty amazed, I mean I knew you where a strong guy, but this is too much.

Thinking of you and hope you keep making progress.

Craig Martin.

PS. The beard is coming in nice:-)

Jacob sends his greetings from Rochester, as do John, Matthew and Obie. The boys have been asking about you--they really missed seeing you when they stopped by during their break.

I do hope the headaches subside. I remember my friend experiencing them as well--she was told that it was part of the healing process.

After my mom's surgery, she developed a sweet tooth as a side effect from the steroids. If there's something you're craving, let us know. I still have more oranges too!

Take care,
Cathy

Hey Patrick,

Just heard about your "adventure" this weekend. Hang in there!! I'm not sure what all the committees at the U will do without you!

A former student of mine started raising awareness and $ that you might find interested. When you are bored, check out: http://www.headrushevent.org/

I hope to see you back at work soon!
