Ok, so you scared the hell out of me when I saw that first photo! Like I am not already scared enough as it is!! :) The others weren't so bad - you look like your usual handsome self! You seem to be in great spirits, and that is what counts the most, my friend.

Love to you and wishing you well tomorrow. And please know that my boy Solomon said a very special prayer for you tonight before bedtime! And you can believe that children have a direct line to God!

We will be thinking of you...

I hate to be insensitive at a time like this but do you think your Doc could harvest a handfull of your healthiest hair follicles that could jump start the top of my head?

Troup,
Just want to let you know that we will be thinking of you tomorrow and throughout your recovery. We wish you a speedy recovery; nothing is tougher than a badger!

A little clowing around lifts the spirit and it looks like you were enjoying yourself in those photos. However, if you REALLY want to wake up from the surgery smiling & laughing, just think of that 6'x3' "museum" piece that could be yours. Yikes!

On a serious note, I will be sending good thoughts in the morning and praying for a speedy recovery. Robyn sends good thoughts; she's in ATL.

Trouper - I think this is a good look for you...maybe they can leave those on permanently. You could start a totally new trend in male fashion accessories...

Wishing you the best today - lots of positive energy, strength and love. We are all cheering for you - remember, I'm much better at that than kickball...

I can't wait to hear about when we can have the party - you're in my prayers.

Troup,
I just heard about your surgery and blog site. I wish you a quick recovery and I am sure you'll be back in full action before long.

Also, the head dots are a good look for you. Had you been sporting them back in the days we played soccer I don't think anyone would have attempted to steal the ball from you....there again most didn't succeed in beating you even when they tried.

God Bless my friend, Bob Rogers

Patrick-
Know that many good thoughts are coming your way from St. Kate's. I wish you the best. We really will have to do lunch one day.

They say, God doesn't give you more than you can handle. Well you, my friend, apparently can handle a lot. Seriously, we hope all goes well. You and your family has been an inspiration to me for a very long time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Godspeed,
Hayes and Lori.

Patrick, man, it is good to see you, dots and all. Your strong spirit never fails to amaze me! I like your blog, and hope that you don't mind that someone forwarded the link to me.

Are your killing time creating the blog? If so, I have a suggestion. Get a stat counter, it is fun to see the hits go up, and adds an affirming element to the blog. It's free: http://www.statcounter.com/
And perhaps a fun little project...

I'd wish you prayer and strength, and all, but it seems you are well equipped to handle life's bumps. Wishing you love, strength, and prayers nonetheless!

Peace,
Manisha
